This week’s Misfit Entrepreneurs are John and Mark Cronin. They are the father-son team that created John’s Crazy Socks, a social enterprise with a mission to spread happiness. They bootstrapped their business into the world’s largest sock store with multi-million dollar revenues and have been named EY’s Entrepreneurs of the Year as well as multiple 30 under 30 awards.
John is not only a business owner, but he has Down syndrome. John and Mark show what people with differing abilities can do – more than half of their colleagues have differing abilities. They have testified twice before the U.S. Congress and spoken at the United Nations. They are sought after keynote speakers, have recorded two TEDx Talks and are frequent guests on network television including appearances on CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, the Today Show, Fox and Friends, CNBC, PBS, the BBC and others. And they show their gratitude through their Giving Back program that has raised over $650,000 for their charity partners.
John and Mark show us that anything is possible if you if you are determined enough and I’m excited to discuss their journey of building a 7-figure company along with the many other lessons we can learn from them.

Many years ago, I introduced a new format that alongside our regular episodes called “Lessons for Hannah.” Hannah is my daughter and one of the main inspirations for the Misfit Entrepreneur. I wanted to have a place where she could go and learn from her daddy and his Misfit friends throughout her life….even after I am gone. If you haven’t listened to the first episode of "Lessons for Hannah," I urge you to as it gives some more background and tells the amazing story of how Hannah came to be in our lives.
Lessons for Hannah are short, very useful, and sometimes comical lessons, that I want to share with you and give to Hannah to help in your lives. Because I want Hannah to have these for her life, I’m going to speak as though I am talking directly to her. These episodes are a lot of fun and if you think there is a lesson that we should include in these episodes, please don’t hesitate to send it over to us at support@misfitentrepreneur.com. We’d love to share it.

This week’s Misfit Entrepreneur is Chris Wright. We’ve had multiple guests on the show talking about the growth of AI and the benefits of it, but what about the potential downsides? In a world where AI can create videos and deep fakes of anyone in seconds or access individual’s data from social platforms and other sources and use it: how do you protect yourself and keep control of your data, personal information, and other valuable online assets? Those are exactly the questions I had been asking myself when I was introduced to Chris Wright.
Chris is a former US Army attack helicopter pilot, entrepreneur, and founder of the AI Trust Council. The AITC is building a pro-human social networking platform that helps users distinguish real from fake online. Its goal is to give users control of their meta data to create passive income and provide a mechanism to help steer the direction of A.I.
The council aims to ensure humans are empowered with the tools necessary to establish trust to build a pro human future. I think this is one of the most important topics for entrepreneurs to understand and find opportunity in over the next decade and Chris is on the bleeding edge, so I asked him on the discuss how we can not only protect ourselves, but also maximize our potential in the age of AI.

This week’s Misfit Entrepreneur is Mark Wills. Mark is a very interesting entrepreneur and like my daughter, Hannah, an adoptee. But his journey was not as easy – something I look forward to him sharing and us talking about today. Mark is the founder of a unique business called the Loan Signing System that has become a top 1% online course in America teaching people how to not only become a notary, but how to succeed in making it a side hustle or full-time career.
He is a best-selling author and has been featured everywhere from CNBC to Entrepreneur, and Forbes - even the Today Show.
I admit, the first time I heard about a guy who created a business in the notary space, I wasn’t that excited, but then I met Mark and realized how genius it was for him to create a massive business in this niche. Mark has not only created a 7-figure business, but is helping countless others build 6 and 7 figure businesses in the much looked over niche of notarization.
